This week full of contrast will show you the remains of the dictatorship Ceausescu’s with his communist mindset, the fantastic countryside in the Carpathian Mountains and the legend of Count Dracula. Let’s start in the middle of Romania, in Bucharest. It’s been a long time since I found a city so fascinating and weird at the same time. There are remains of little palaces in the middle of the city, next to communist concrete blocks that are neighbored by modern 5 star hotels with glass facades. We head right into the former King’s City, Brasov to see a totally different Romania. The German influence makes this city very organized with a cute main square and the black church. There’s no way around visiting Dracula’s castle in Bran where you can imagine what was going on after sunset. While in the Carpathian Mountains we’ll have to sample bear meat, yes bear. We continue to the World Culture City 2007, Sibiu, with its cute buildings and beautiful National Parks. Our final stop is once again Bucharest for shopping, styling and Dinner & Crime at the Hanul Manuc.

We start out exploring the home of Guinness and the Temple Bar district before we head out to the countryside of south and west Ireland. Our way leads us through green meadows, to Kilkenney Castle and further on to Killarney where we discover the beauty of the Killarney National Park, the Queen’s Ladies View and the Ring of Kerry with the scenic little town of Dingle. Then we head north to Limerick and use the opportunity to see the stunning Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle and St. Mary’s Cathedral and get us a venue with live music in the evening. Angela’s Ashes are on our itinerary as well as an Irish folklore evening to bring you closer to Celtic culture. We finish our taste of Ireland back in Dublin with a nice farewell dinner and some pubs. Sunshine, action and party for a week. The Spanish eat late, drink late and go out very late – get ready! Flamenco, tapas, sangria and the relaxed Spanish flair is all yours for a week. In Madrid we start out exploring the Spanish culture and mentality. We roam through the streets of Madrid, sample some Tapas and jump right into the Spanish nightlife. The next day we take a look at the attractions of Madrid on Plaza Mayor, see the Royal Palace and sample some vino. Further south we drive to the coolest city of Andalusia, Sevilla. Some of the best food in Spain is there to be eaten and we take a look at the upcoming bull fighters before we try Agua de Sevilla. From the heart of Andalusia we travel to Catalunya where we spend the next three nights by the Mediterannean Sea, in Barcelona. We explore the city on bicycles and see how well you pay attention during our Barcelona treasure hunt. We can’t come leave Spain without a little Sangria party, and challenge each other on the Go Kart – Grand Prix track where we race like Michael Schuhmacher or Dale Earnhardt.
